The time has arrived for the first year of a new international running festival here in Queenstown.
The tickets have sold out and you can feel the buzz around town with the 6,000 plus runners and their supporters arriving to participate.
There will be 42km, 21km, 10km and 3km kids run options, so there is something for everyone.
With the beautiful surroundings for this wonderful event the highlights will be the Crown Range, Remarkable Ranges, Millbrook Resort, Arrowtown, Lake Hayes, Shotover River, Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown Gardens and then the finish in the heart of Queenstown.
I have been talking to Nina Jensen our marketing manager here at Ray White Queenstown who is taking part in this event.
“I’m very excited to be taking part in the inaugural Queenstown Marathon. Its my first one ever so I am understandably a little nervous but can’t wait. Its going to be a beautiful course and you can already feel the atmosphere in town.”
