A Little Ray of Giving – Ray White Queenstown & Baskets of Blessing

A Little Ray of Giving is an annual programme run by Ray White offices to collect gifts for families in need across New Zealand and Australia. First run in 2012, the Little Ray of Giving programme intends to support and put smiles on the faces of some very special children this Christmas – by simply seeking donations of gifts from their local communities.

This year we are partnering with Queenstown’s Baskets of Blessing Charitable Trust and volunteer organisation, who provide a platform coordinating generous donations of products, time and money to deliver unexpected gift baskets and frozen meal/food packs to individuals and families suddenly struggling from unexpected life challenges. Those impacted range across all ages, socio – economic groups and ethnicities/cultures. Severe illness, or injury, financial or mental distress, bereavement, separations and solo parenting all take their toll.

Drop a present into our office before 10 December and we’ll make sure it gets to a deserving family.
Here’s some ideas from Baskets of Blessing for their 2020 gift baskets. “We love to fill up baskets with loads of goodies chosen especially for each nomination – we love donations of herbs and flowers, baking, chips, cheese and crackers, jams, chutneys and honey, chocolates, sweets and non perishable food, pamper items like hand creams, soaps, candles, new toys and clothes for babies and children, new magazines and books; our philosophy is that we pack what we would like to receive. This year we are especially needing boxed pens for men and women, journals, notebooks for adults and children, small wheat bags, lavendar bags, caps for guys, magazines for guys, Christmas Bon Bons, lip balms and lip glosses for teenagers.”
